ASNOR resources for educational and career guidance

Guidance is not limited to a single decision. It is an educational process that helps people gain a clearer understanding of their interests, abilities and aspirations, interpret the contexts in which they live, and make increasingly informed choices about education, training and work.

This collection grew out of work developed from the materials of the ASNOR Master’s programme in School Guidance and Support for Educational and Career Choices. It brings together tools, platforms and sources for exploring the school system, universities, Italian higher artistic and vocational education pathways such as AFAM and ITS, professions, skills, employment and mobility opportunities across Europe.

The collection also includes resources devoted to MOOCs, digital skills, open knowledge, portfolios, inclusion and professional development. It does not prescribe an automatic route or replace dialogue with a guidance practitioner. Instead, it works as an open map that can be explored starting from each person’s questions, characteristics and circumstances.

How to use the collection

• begin with a question or a real decision;
• identify the most relevant sections;
• compare more than one possibility and source;
• check requirements, deadlines and whether information is up to date;
• record the alternatives that emerge and revisit them throughout the process.
