LifeComp is a conceptual, non-prescriptive framework developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. It describes nine competences in three interconnected areas: Personal (self-regulation, flexibility and wellbeing), Social (empathy, communication and collaboration), and Learning to learn (growth mindset, critical thinking and managing learning).
Each competence has three descriptors concerning awareness, understanding and action. These are complementary dimensions, not hierarchical levels. This entry preserves both the original publication and the Italian version by IPRASE — translated by Silvia Tamanini and adapted by Maria Arici and Claudio Girelli — for further study and curriculum design.
